‘K-Bird’ To Gain A Silent AM in Washington’s Capital City

At 680 kHz in Olympia, Wash., a unique music-driven radio station has offered nostalgia to fans of records released on 78 RPM as "K-Bird." The facility is a Class D daytime-only AM, with an all-important FM translator giving its 24/7 service to the state capital of Washington. Pending FCC approval, it will soon have a second AM.
