It's been the desire of the LPTV Broadcasters Association and its founder, "SuperFrank" Copsidas, to have the FCC lift its freeze on major changes to low-power and Class A broadcast television facilities. The Commission has just turned its heat lamps on the ice, allowing these LPTV stations to engage in major modifications.

USSI Global is celebrating the recent opening of a new repair and logistics complex in Suntree, Fla. The new facility allows the company to expand beyond its warranty business and add broadcast headend and production equipment to its catalog of repair services.

With outsized attention on the rescission bill that "clawed back" preauthorized funding in FY 2025 to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the "AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act" has yet to progress to a full vote. Should that happen, supporters will be pleased to know that the bill is filibuster-proof in the U.S. Senate.

It was first shared at a special June "Radiovana" event attended by RBR+TVBR and top engineering and technology leaders from across the radio and television broadcasting industry. Now, it is being brought to market just ahead of the IBC2025 conference and expo in Amsterdam, courtesy of Sinclair-owned Dielectric.

He joined conservative talk and Christian Talk and Teaching-focused Salem Media Group in 2000 as Chief Financial Officer. He would later serve as President of New Media and for the past three years had been serving as Chief Operating Officer. On August 31, he stepped down from the role at the the company.

In the Tidewater region, The E.W. Scripps Co. owns and operates two TV stations, the CBS affiliate and an independent sibling. Starting Monday, it will have a new General Manager. It's an individual many at the stations are very familiar with.

It owns and operates five audio brands serving the Wichita market, and until now has been led by the woman who also oversees the company's St. Louis stations.  That's just changed, thanks from a promotion from within.
