The problem with the data is persisting.  The FCC is aware of it.  No ETU.  We have not backed down to last Thursday's data at this time but we may do so without notice. Until this is resolved, data at FCCdata.org and Denpahoso for US FCC broadcast is not reliable.

Updated Monday 8/19/19 at 1:30PM ET:

To support the eventual transition of radio to LMS and to support the upcoming radio renewal cycle, FCC.today will now display pleadings (such as informal objections and petitions for reconsideration) filed in LMS in addition to those filed in CDBS.  

We have also changed the pleadings function for CDBS records where if you click on the file number, it will directly bring up the pleading instead of the main application record.  Clicking the call sign will still take you to the station's listing in FCCdata.org.

7/30/19 - 1120 EDT

On 7/29, due to an ongoing issue with the FCC's online public file system, we have shut down displaying station logos which are sourced from that system.  LPFM logos that are loaded into VPIF will cotninue to be provided.  This was addressing a very slow response and time out issues on FCCdata and denpahoso.   FCC external issue.  No ETU.

8/4/19 - 1640 EDT

This issue is persisting so logos will remain turned off until resovled.

In response to MB Docket 19-193, myLPFM will now show channels in the reserved band (channels 201~220, 88.1~91.9) that meet 73.807 minimum distance separation to all FM facilities but are 73.525 short-spaced to channel 6 TV stations.  These channels will show with a grey background.  These channels will display a message that the channel is available with a waiver of 73.525 and that a contour study is required.  After the LPTV analog sunset on July 13, 2021, these channels will show available without restrictions as Channel 6 restrictions will be completely eliminated. 

Minor change to suppress the new daily LMS generated public notices from appearing in the news section similar to the current suppression we have for CDBS daily broadcast public notices.

REC has made the following enhancements to FCCdata to support FCC FM broadcast records.

Auxiliary facilities

FCCdata will now show FM auxiliary facilities for which there is an engineering record for.  Auxiliary records will be identified in the left section with the AUX indicator.  On the default screen, active auxiliary records will not turn on by default.  Patterns and contours for the auxiliary facilites available where possible. 

Placed REC-FM and J1xtra on new streaming encoding hardware due to failure of previous REC-FM hardware.  

Application history is not appearing in FCCdata/Denpahoso. We are aware of the issue and are working it. ETU, end of day 5/10/2019.

12:41PM EDT - This issue will also tempoaraily impact the display of TV records.  We are in the process of reloading LMS.

7:02 PM EDT - Issue caused by running out of disk space.  Some minor enhancements were made on how LMS data is handled.  At this time, FCCdata/Denpahoso appears to be operational. 

Launch a new calculation tool that allows you to enter a listener's address as well as the CDBS application ID of a "desired" FM station and an "undesired" FM station.  The U/D tool will calculate the HAAT and service contour for each station in order to calcuate the listener's undesired to desired ratio (or U/D Ratio).  This tool is to prepare for the new FM translator rules which require that a complaining listener must be within a 45 dBu contour of the desired station and that between the desired and undesired stations at the listener's location, the U/D Rati

FCCdata.org and Denpahoso.com has had some minor enhancements to the Radio History Project support in order to support FM radio.  We also made some fixes to both the AM and FM history grids.

Radio History Project has completed New York FM.  Attached, you will see a list of all FM and AM stations that were in the New York City Radio History Project update.  Our next stop for data entry will be Los Angeles. Currently, all AM stations and FM stations in the reserved (88~92) band have been entered.  Public Notices have also been entered.

FCCdata.org and Denpahoso.com now support display of data from the REC Radio History Project for FM radio broadcast stations.  The Radio History Project is an ongoing effort to digitize manual FCC History Card data into a fielded database similar to that used by BAPS, CDBS and LMS in order to provide as much of a full and complete history of a broadcast station as possible.

To give users of MyLPFM who are considering a channel change, as well as getting prepared for another LPFM filing window in the future, REC has made two enhancements to the results in myLPFM v.2.0

Super Power Stations

FCCdata for Mexico

Developed new internal processes to semi-automate the update of Mexico records.  Mexico is still a manual update that will be conducted once every few months.

IFT records now show a peak lobe on FM directional records (similar to TV records), we are passing this field on FM records in FCCdata.

Improved the presentation of digital television virtual channels.

Now using FCC instead of Google as an alternate resource for elevation data.  First source remains MapQuest. 

Minor cosmetic changes to Mexico dialscape screen.

Made some enhancements to the ARRR interface.

ARRR data has been updated.  All Enforcement Bureau activity for FM and AM §301 violations from January 1, 2017 to present are now loaded. 

Future projects will add the 2016 data and then back in time.
